How It Works
Iditioning is a lightweight, secure, and private spreadsheet comparison tool designed to run completely inside your web browser. Here is how you can use it to compare your data.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Upload Spreadsheets: Select or drop two spreadsheets into the respective dropzones. You can upload CSV, TSV, Excel (.xls, .xlsx), or OpenDocument sheets (.ods).
- Analyze & Match: Once both files are loaded, Iditioning compares them cell-by-cell. For large files, this is processed in a background thread to prevent browser lock-ups.
- Filter & Search: Use the legend filters to focus only on differences or equal rows. You can search for specific cell addresses (like A1) or values, and sort the output by row or column-major ordering.
- Export results: Click the Export PDF button to download a high-contrast printed report containing all comparison results. You can also generate a secure shared link.

Your privacy is guaranteed by design. The spreadsheets you upload are parsed, compared, and formatted entirely in your browser's memory using local JavaScript. Zero bytes of your file contents are uploaded to any server or processed externally.
